Almost Finished!

We are getting close to having Nana's "house" ready to move her in. Right at first things went real fast then slowed almost to a crawl, the weather set us back a lot, but we are on a roll again. We installed an insulated gargage door and then braced it so that it would be air tight. The wind has been blowing from the south with 30 mph gust and you can not hear it, so it is solid! Rather than enclose it completely we decided to hang thermal curtains. Nana calls it her cloth wall!

Completed bathroom, please note the beautiful tile that Jessie and I laid! The shower is in, molding down and door hung.

The carpet gets laid tomorrow and then the cabinets in the kitchenette area and we move her things in. The last item which is still not finished is the septic tank.....we are waiting for it to be put in and hooked up and we are finished! It will not be long!

It was bitter sweet watching Cailtin show for the last time....sad the time is coming to an end, but we have had a lot of fun and made so many memories.....but excited to think about what lies ahead for her as she heads off to college! Where has the time gone?

The Best of the Best Show

A couple of weeks ago the Best of the Best Ag show was held in Ada. Caitlin had been sick all week with the flu, but was able to go and show. Early Staurday morning Caitlin and Papa headed to the ag barn and got Rose washed and trimmed and ready.

then the texture was applied

and was left to dry for a few days.


The garage door is in. There is some tweeking that needs to be done...wall finished on the inside. The weather set us back a little but we have been doing the inside work.....light fixtures in, plumbing done. Painating tomorrow. The siding goes on and it won't be long!

Mom's House Update

At the end of the day Friday we had windows

and the roof was on!

Sunday I installed the insulation while Mike ran the electricity! Sheet rock tomorrow!

Update!

It has been a YEAR since I last logged in and posted. I've been asked to do better so I am going to try and do so......A lot has changed this year! Right now we are adding a room on for Mom .....I have posted the pictures so you can follow the progress.....Enjoy!

Tuesday morning all we had was a slab and by the end of the day it was framed up

Wednesday the wall board and house wrap went on, windows and door cut out

and the trusses went up!

Thursday we got a late start waiting for the decking and metal for the roof to get here. Got the decking on and today the roof is going on!
