And We Are Done!

We are finally done! It took a little longer than we had planned but Nana is moved in to her very own."little house" She really enjoys haveing all her things around her.

Nana's favorite item in her house, the fireplace. It is the heater and has a fake flame that can be on even if the heater is not running. I think Nana will have a fire going even in the summer!

Okemah Prom

Saturday April 9th was Josh's prom in Okemah. The theme was Masquerade! We met in Shawnee and took pictures at the old train station before Josh and Caitlin headed off to prom......

Caitlin's Senior Prom

Saturday night was Allen's Prom. Papa cooked steak and chicken, baked potatos on the grill before the prom. Caitlin's friend Josh drove down from Okemah...Pretty cool guy...he brought Cait a beautiful boot full of flowers...witnessed the final hair fixing and posed for lots of pictures!

Furniture moved

As you can see we have moved the furniture in. I've started unpacking boxes and it won't be long. Telephone and TV hook-up this week and we are DONE!

Almost Finished!

We are getting close to having Nana's "house" ready to move her in. Right at first things went real fast then slowed almost to a crawl, the weather set us back a lot, but we are on a roll again. We installed an insulated gargage door and then braced it so that it would be air tight. The wind has been blowing from the south with 30 mph gust and you can not hear it, so it is solid! Rather than enclose it completely we decided to hang thermal curtains. Nana calls it her cloth wall!

Completed bathroom, please note the beautiful tile that Jessie and I laid! The shower is in, molding down and door hung.

The carpet gets laid tomorrow and then the cabinets in the kitchenette area and we move her things in. The last item which is still not finished is the septic tank.....we are waiting for it to be put in and hooked up and we are finished! It will not be long!

It was bitter sweet watching Cailtin show for the last time....sad the time is coming to an end, but we have had a lot of fun and made so many memories.....but excited to think about what lies ahead for her as she heads off to college! Where has the time gone?
