Let It Snow

Wednesday morning we woke up to a gray cold day. The weather man said there would be snow in western Oklahoma and around the city. As I drove to work it started to sprinkle and then turned to sleet and by the time I got to Ada it was snowing hard. Large flakes, at times very heavy, but mostly just a steady snow for about 4 hours. It did not last long (it was gone today) but pretty while it lasted.

THE PICKLE ORNAMENT

Long ago when parents decorated the Christmas tree, they hung the pickle ornament last hiding it in the green boughs. When the children were allowed to view the tree, they would begin searching for the pickle ornament because they knew they would receive an extra gift for being the most observant.

Caitlin hides the pickle and the rest of us look!

Jessie was the most observant!

Mustang Spirit

For Home Coming everyone shows their spirit by dressing up and at the pep rally the class with the most spirit is recognized. Jessie and her friend Beyla went all out to show their spirit! (With attitude!)

Caitlin and Sunny

Waiting to be judged!

Last year Caitlin starting taking Ag in school and joined the FFA (Future Farmers of America) One of her projects was to show either a goat, pig, sheep or calf. We decided that she should start out with a goat. The Ag teacher went to Texas where the best "show goats" come from and came home with Sunny.......Caitlin worked hard getting Sunny ready to show. Every day she would come home after school and spend time feeding, grooming and teaching Sunny to walk on a lead and to obey her commands to stop and stand. She went to the Pontotoc County Fair in September o6 and placed 5th in Showmanship. From there it was on to the State Fair! Caitlin did not place there, but it was a fun experience.

Here We Go!

Well it has taken me some time to figure out how to post, add pictures, etc and then just taking the time to do so. With the help of Danielle I think I am ready to get started. I'm going to add some post from months past with pictures and then I will try and keep up and post on a regular basis. Hope you enjoy!
